Happy Birthday to Me !

I am a very blessed teacher when it comes to having fantastic students, who go out of their ways to make my birthday special. Last Friday I was very spoiled! Starting with a birthday party thrown by my homeroom students.. seen above.. there were parties going on all day from different classes! It was a lot of fun... so maybe I didn't teach a whole lot that day...
These are a few of my Grade 11 girls... They usually hang out in my room during breaks and lunch times and we have lots of good girly chats. Kind of reminds me of my days at The Ranch..
This is another one of my Grade 11 classes... striking the Birthday Pose... They're really great kids! I didn't remember to take pictures of all the parties.. just picture kids from previous photos.. standing around cakes or pizza and presents...

The first party actually started at 12:01am on December 1st. I was woken up to the sound of someone banging on my front door. It was rather scary at first and then I heard voices yelling: "Wake up Miss Jessica! Happy Birthday!" And so I opened the door and three students were standing there with candles and a cake and singing Happy Birthday to me. They wanted to be the first ones to wish me one. Then one of the boys says: "Miss J, I know that you love BMWs.. so here are the keys to mine. Wanna go driving?" So we did! I haven't driven in a year and never on that side of the road, so it was an experience but I didn't kill any of us! It was just a very random Birthday moment and I loved it! I did give the keys back though... Anyway they are really cool kids and I've learned that it's not so bad celebrating birthdays in Indonesia!
