Today I received word that the Korea door is closed and so I am signing with Germany! I spent the night tossing and turning. I really talked myself into wanting Korea, so much that I woke myself up at 2:30am and then spent the next three hours trying to talk myself into Germany just in case Korea didn't come through. Well it didn't but Germany did. This is actually a good thing. I loved the Principal and I loved what I heard about the school. European teaching experience will look good on a resume and I'll have a whole new perspective of the world. And so I believe that this is where God wants me to be and I will peacefully, faithfully and happily go there!
Dusseldorf.. here I come!
Isn't Dusseldorf the coolest name ever??

Well, good for you! And good for God to lead you... but you will have to change the name of this blog site in just four months. "Jessica in Northern Europe"?
Wow Jess, the city looks fantastic and I'm sure the school will be too! We prayed about this decision so have to believe that it is the open door you were looking for. And, it looks like a great place for a mother and daughter weekend!
Hey Jess,
Germany sounds great. Teaching is a great profession for globe trotters... I keep meaning to score an overseas teaching job, but alas, the challenges of travelling with a family in tow seems insurmountable (right now, anyway). I will look forward to posts from "jessica in n. europe"...
just don't say what I said when I was in Germany. I was being billeted in High school by a wonderful family (after having been billeted in Belgium for 6 days) and they asked me (the German family) "So what places have you liked best so far?"...meaning in Germany which touristy place did I prefer... I missed that implication and said enthusiastically "Oh I've loved Belgium. Every bit of Belgium was gorgeous and the people are wonderful and it has been the highlight of Europe for me..." yadda yadda yadda as I watch their faces fall with disgust at this stupid Canadian teeny bopper who doesn't know enough to flatter the host of a different country by saying "Oh certainly it was Wiesbaden." Lesson learned.
Anyhow, congrats on hearing from the Lord and getting on to a new adventure! loving you!
Do you do memes? I try not to as a rule, but this one I liked. Go see my blog for the rules. I would love to hear your answer to this one!
