This is the beach where we jumped on the boat that took us to the volcano Krakatau!
There she be! Baby Krakatau.. the big Krakatau erupted in 1883 and it had some pretty fascinating effects. Seeing as I'm not a geography teacher, I'll leave you to "google" it and read up on it for yourself!

View from the boat. We had a long weekend celebrating Indonesia's Independence Day and so quite a few of us headed to Anyer. We stayed in a couple bungalows and made a day trip to the volcano. In the afternoon we went into a nice bay area and swam and snorkeled. Reminding me again why this is a fascinating and fun place to live!
