Many of the Compassion projects we visited didn't really get going until the afternoon. The first morning we got to go on a tour of a batik factory. It was pretty cool but also like being in a sweat shop. They let some of us make our own little piece. It was actually really hard! Apparently over 5000 people work at this factory but we only really saw the "show" room of workers. It's incredible the detail they put into their work and all the patience it requires. I definitely don't have what it takes!
