Bali Bombing...

Hello! As some of you may have heard there has been a bit of bomb action here in Bali. Christine and I found out about it while we were waiting to board the plane. One of my students sent me an SMS asking if I was okay and then told me what had happened. Well we weren't totally sure but decided to go ahead with it anyway and prayed that God would show us if we should stay in Jakarta. Well we made it here and are totally fine!
One of the bombs happened in Kuta square... which is where I was with all my students the day before. I am now in Legian.. outside of Kuta and being really careful. The bars and restaurants all close up at 11pm and it does kind of have a feel that something strange is going on. However, we're staying away from totally "western" places... ie. Hard Rock Cafe and Starbucks *sob* and trying to be sensible. Fortunately the other SPH teachers who are here are all right too. We're keeping in close contact with each other and making sure everyone is okay.
There is a lot of stuff going on in Indonesia these days ... with oil prices rising and government issues and all of that... but I know I'm in God's hands and all will be fine!
So don't worry for me Canada....
