Indo Moments...

Well the wall is nearly complete and I am one happy camper! Last night Christine and I went for a major shopping trip. It was nice because we have just left buying certain things until now and we were able to get some more things that make our places feel more like home. For example, a full length mirror... One weird thing about being here is that to catch the taxi home you have to go upstairs in the Supermal. Well with a shopping cart filled and no elevator, we were forced to take the escalator! What a sight that was! Christine took the front and I took the back and we just wheeled that full shopping cart straight on and up we went, all the while trying not to make too much of a scene. Being such a visible minority here, everything we do stands out.. so this just added to it!
Once we were up we got in the taxi and went home. Upon arriving home I realized that the workers had locked me out of my bathroom! (This happened when I first got to Indonesia as well) So I sent the building manager an sms and she couldn't find anyone to come and help so told me to break the door in and she'll fix it the next day! Have you ever tried to break down a metal door? It sounded like just the job for Becky! In a matter of minutes Becky was over with her chic tool bag and we managed to take the handle off!
Just another day in Indonesia...
